Big Hotel and When Queens Collide
New York: Ridiculous Theatrical Company, 1967. 8 1/2 x 11” program, offset printed. Item #10478
Another flyer designed by Jack Smith for Charles Ludlam’s play. These flyers and this show were the last work that Jack Smith did with the RTC, after a dramatic fallout during production.
Stars included Mario Montez, Black Eyed Susan, Clairene Bedlam, Rodney Montez, Inez “Bunny’ Eisenhower, Bill Vehr, Gary Tucker, Jeanne Phillips, and Regina Hirsch. Hirsch, a cis woman, would later use the stage name Lola Pashalinki, a name reportedly also used by Eisenhower. Eisenhower is also known as one of the founders of the early trans activist group and funders of the first Christopher Street Liberation Day -- the Queens Liberation Front, with Lee Brewster.
